Visiting the Verticordia

A great turn out today at Cat's with more Domestiques nearby.
Fantastic that Mick (Ahab) and Odette dropped in as well as going on the ride. Lefty cruised in on a suitably large piece of machinery, a BMW K1600GTL, that he acquired in Aveley. Medic Mike rode in on a BMW 900 and Rod Rocket Peter showed off his new acquisition a Yamaha MT 10.
Lefty, JC, Ted, Rainer, Rod Rocket Peter, Braam, Mike (Ahab) + Odette, GS Mark, Multimedia Mark, His Royal Griceness, Peter Bee and Bozo mostly travelled together to get from Cat's to Gingers. Mike (Ahab) explained the connection between Wily Coyote and the Road Runner and reminded Lefty that the last time he got a new bike they travelled with him from Streaky Bay. The orange flower of Verticordia Nitens (Christmas Morrison) was spotted on Neaves Road before we turned off onto Old Yanchep Road. All bikes stayed on the road and no melons were injured on this trip. By the time we completed Military Road we had lost Ted, Rod Rocket Peter, Braam and Mike + Odette. A lot of Verticordia Nitens on Cowalla Road as well as a bit of Roadworks.
The pub at Lancelin was packed and we were all moved by the music as we took in the magnificent coastal outlook. We swung by Reagan's Ford past masses of stands of Verticordia Nitens on the way home via Gingin and Muchea.

A great day to be out even though it was windy on the coast. Lefty could not be encouraged to take the 1600 into the dunes. Thanks to Peter Bee for running as tail end Charlie.
