Avoiding Rain, Road Works, Detours and Bridge Construction

Post by Bozo »

Better day than forecast with fewer bikes than normal at C1 and D1.

Eight riders trusted in the BOM Radar to head to Gingin. R90S Mark, His Royal Griceness, Goldie, Rob, Nick, Multi Media Mark, Peter Bee and Bozo skirted around a storm as they headed past the airport to the first detour on Stirling Crescent. A planned detour up Campersic Road, Haddrill Road and Boulonnais Drive encountered a mob of large kangaroos. After a stop at Gingers we entered Road Works on Apple Road and a red light/detour on Railway Parade. More Road Works on Old Yanchep Road before a run along Indian Ocean Drive and Military Road. The letterboxes caused some intrigue as we turned towards Gingin and the CU@ Cafe.

Most headed home via Moolabeenie Road, Crest Hill Road and the Chittering Valley taking a detour via Powderbark Road to avoid the bridge construction.

The ride finished at Bullsbrook.

Great riding conditions with the Road Works, Detours and Bridge Construction having very little impact on the group. Thanks to Peter Bee for running as tail end Charlie.

It was a great ride again, thanks Bozo for the convoluted route and Peter for TEC duties. Perfect weather only to be matched by the company of fellow riders.
