Nine riders turned out to travel to Dwellingup via Churchman Brook Dam. Rainer, His Royal Griceness, Safety Dave, Dave, R90S Mark, Wightman, Rod Rocket Peter, Peter Bee and Bozo took up the Sunday challenge of going on a new road. Today it was a slow and bumpy trip past a cereal factory at Carmel and a deviation onto Peet Road. A simple scuttle back down the scarp got us to Byford before encountering eleven emus at Karnet. Ascending Del Park Road we were caught behind a 100 tonne high wide load that chose to keep the road completely blocked for the trip up the scarp. A brief flurry of corners at speed after the high wide load turned off at the Huntly Mine Road and we were at a busy Blue Wren Cafe. Not wanting to upset Neil we cobbled together chairs around a small table to chat. R90S Mark was held up with spectators wanting to strip spare parts off his bike.
A bit of cappucino confusion was overcome before heading down the hill via North Spur Road and a link to Del Park Road at the Huntly Mine. Taking a run up Hopleand Road to avoid the school holiday traffic one of the riders managed to set one of his boots on fire. After the fire was extinguished (with bottled water) the ride ended.

A happy group and a free flowing ride until we hit the 100 tonne truck. Thanks to Peter Bee for running as tail end Charlie.
