Glorious weather for a Sunday ride with some fresh faces at Catalanos. Attendance was a bit down with some of the older visages on an airhead run down south.

Eight riders followed Bozo through jinks and back tracks to do a circuit from Carmel to Canning Dam and through Mount Richon to Miami. James, Kieran, Rod Rocket Peter, Multi Media Mark, Nick, Rainer, Peter Bee and Bozo dawdled through Safety Bay to turn on to 80 Road for a run to 68 Road before rejoining the traffic on the Mandurah bypass and settle at the Miami Bakehouse.

After discussing arsenic, lithium, rutile and bauxite over a mineral water we headed to see one of Thomas Dambo's Giants of Mandurah as he rested on a groyne at the Cut.

On the run around the Peel Inlet we ran into Wightman and Prankster returning from Nannup. We eventually got to Coolup to hear the story about the Anzac mural. A run to Dwellingup and a revisit of the Huntley Mine road had the ride ending at North Dandalup where the Fiorenza Brothers charity run had ended at the Stud Country Tavern.

An excellent day only mildly marred by traffic. Great to have the average age of the group drop like the Eagles percentage with James and Kieran along. Thanks to Peter Bee for running as Tail End Charlie and for the explanation of the mural.
