Dam Dam Dam

Post by Bozo »

Another stunning Sunday with a fascinating array of bikes at Catalanos. Great to see Attila on his BMW R1200R.

Wightman brought along a pristine BMW R68 from the mid 50's. Recently restored, he was running the engine in.

Ten riders headed out on a loop around three dams, Churchman's Brook, Canning and Mundaring to end up at Gidgegannup. Wightman, Two Volts Peter, Nannup Nick, R90S Mark, Attila, Multimedia Mark, Rainer, Medic Mike, Peter Bee and Bozo skirted through the Bickley Valley and Churchman's Brook Dam ending up on Cann Road before a run past Canning Dam. There were purple and yellow splashes of colour with the start of wildflowers. Negotiating a muddy bridge at Araluen we ended up on Fern Road and Mundaring Weir. Several devaitions got us to Roland Road and O'Brien Road for near misses with high-speed sports bikes. Gidgegannup Bakery was a welcome sojourn to talk about TS Tasmania. The ride ended at Mundaring.

Brilliant riding conditions on scenic twisting roads.

Thanks to Peter Bee for running as tail end Charlie.

Thanks Bozo for taking us on an interesting reverse direction on familiar roads. It’s amazing how different they feel in the reverse direction. Plus the weather today was perfect. All resulting in a great Sunday ride.

Thanks Bozo. More new roads to enjoy again. Was slightly disappointed we didn't circumnavigate the choosen roundabout. Maybe next time.
