What a great day, weather ideal, country layered in brilliant greens & yellow. Other than a few pauses for road works it was free flowing ride with a mixture of straights and curves, for our group no punctures or lost riders.

Bozo, PeterB and Brian/5 left Gloria Jeans for a run to Mojos going through the old Midland railway workshops complex. It's good to know that they have kept some of the historic buildings and transform them internally to a useful function. Then through patches fog along Helena Valley.

After the usual banter at Mojo’s PeterB, B5, Bill, Nick, Bruce & Wayne headed off to Goomalling, with Bozo & Noel heading back home.

The route out was via the ratrun to Wooroloo then along Bailup Road which still needs releveling to iron out the numerous bumps. A deviation along Salt Valley Rd, Katrine, Southern Brook Rds before turning to Goomalling. A stop for lunch at Lot 39 Store & Café. After a relaxing break sitting out in the sunshine the group split into two with one party head home via Toodyay an the second backtracking through Meckering, Quellington Rd, Burges and Mokine Rds to turn onto the Great Southern Hwy, the Lake and home.

Thanks all,
A great way to get back into longer rides.
