Ten Riders Enjoy a Cloudy Sunday

With Bozo away the regular riders kept asking me “ Where are we going????”. So after consultation with MMM it was decided lunch at the Serpentine Dam Cafe was something we had not done for a while.
So MMM, Nannup Nick, Cameron, Watermark, Red Rocket Peter, David, Nifty, Chris HRH and Goldie joined me for the run.
Standard Orrong Rd/Welshpool Rd up the range and through Carmel, Bickley and Pickering Brook onto the Brookton Hwy and into Churchman Brook Dam for a toilet break. Waterwheel Rd got us onto the Albany Hwy as we short cutted near Swampies House to join the SW Hwy. Jarrahdale Rd took us up the range again to Kingsbury Drive and the Serpentine Dam Cafe.
The Cafe was busy with an estimated 40 motorcycles parked outside and 20 or so cars. But we still found a table for our 10 and relatively quickly ordered and got stuck into sandwiches, chips, cakes, OJ and coffee. All good fun and usual chit chat.
For the return run we headed over the Dam wall and descended down Kingsbury Drive to the SWHwy dreaded Bozo corner. No issues
Cameron headed straight back to Perth with the remainder following me south with a Westerley run along Elliot Rd to Hopelands and the standard run up the centre to Perth.
Thanks to all for a ride that started cool but warmed up with a cloudy sky and only 17 drips of moisture. Special thanks all for sensible safe riding to the ever reliable Nannup Nick for TEC duties.
