Damp Dwellingup Ride

Post by Bozo »

An excellent showing at Catalano's and Dome this morning and lots of new faces, such as Queensland Andrew and some of the occasional attendees such as Frank.

14 riders headed south in the anticipation of cloudy but fine weather. JC, Steve, Ralph, Multimedia Mark, Rod Rocket Peter, Nannup Nick, Rainer, Goldie, Brian/5, David LS, Fiery Ross, R90S Mark and Bozo headed up the scarp towards Pickering Brook and Canning Road and went via Churchman's Brook Dam, Byford, Serpentine Dam, Del Park Road and the conveyor belt diversion to Dwellingup only negotiating the odd sprinkle.

Still wildflowers around such as Leschenaultia, isopogons and Swan River myrtle.

After a break at the busy Blue Wren extended by the wait for the Chili con Carne, most of the group headed for Lane Poole and Nanga Brook Road to be greeted by unexpected rain dampening the enthusiasm for the twisties. After a wet Waroona, the rain radar was used to plot a course home via Coolup Burnside Road, Pinjarra and South West Highway.

Thanks to a good natured group and to R90S Mark running as tail end Charlie the logistics of the ride were brilliant, but not the weather for the run on Nanga Brook Road.
