Three riders headed out to do some heritage location, including tracking down the Gleneagles Tanks and the origin of the foundations at the "36 Mile" settlement on Albany Highway. Bozo, Pete 2 Volts and Wightman found a pleasant but windy weather window to track past Canning Dam and Ashendon Road. The tanks were quickly located and it was on to the foundations at the "36 Mile".

The bricks used in the building were from Cardup and looked quite modern. Later research showed that Forrest John Spencer Robertson received a building permit in November 1948 for a brick building. He had been living at the "36 Mile" from around 1940.He served in the Armed Forces during WWII.

The trio headed to Jarrahdale where Pete and Bozo stopped at the General Store. After a break Pete and Bozo headed through the fire ravaged section of Kingsbury Drive (Serpentine Dam to the Prison Farm) at the posted speed of 60 kmh.
An interesting day. Thanks to Pete for running as tail end Charlie and Wightman for his research. I believe I spotted Swampy, on his way home from Walpole, as I neared Armadale.
