Brian/5 led a group of nine riders from gloria jeans. (Astro-Bozo - Multi Media Mark – Chris Grice – Lefty – David – BillC – AnthonyP)
The route up the hill to mojos café was most interesting with points of interest such as, a 2 storey house with the front half of a vespa scooter bolted to an upstairs balcony post? What the xxxx? Why?
We also ventured through the streets of Parkerville to see the devastation of the recent bushfires. The Fireys did an amazing job saving multiple homes.
2 volts Peter and Pilbara Ross joined us at mojos. Group total 11.
As usual when the coffees arrived no one could remember what they had ordered? The discussion around the table was robust and interesting as usual with such subjects as the boundaries of Ascot & Redcliffe.
mmm mark made several mentions of the many characters within the broader Chinese community. Such as stupid cxxx, lazy cxxx, useless cxxx etc etc.
Several riders departed for home direct from mojos and the remaining group continued on through to Hovea – Parkerville – Brigadoon - Baskerville & Bullsbrook. The group was now a solid 5 (Astro-mmm-Chris-David-BillC).
A sprightly ride then ensured up around and back down shady hills view rd and across through to Chittering Valley. Then a winding loop through the back street hills on the west of Bindoon and then into town for a quick pit stop.
Where we all parked, unawares directly under a tree which was being eaten and destroyed by the flock of black cockatoos.
Then a long figure 8 loop around Bindoon, Mooliabeenee and across into Gingin. Lunch @ Cu café.
A quick fuel stop at the shell garage on the edge of brand hwy and then across through Granville, Muckenburra, Wilbinga, Yanchep, Carabooda, Karoborup. This is where we all said our goodbyes and continued onto the Mitchell freeway for the journey south and home.
A fabulous day out with dry winding roads, perfect weather and most of all no flat tyres or incidents.
