Hazy recollections of a Sunday ride

Post by Bozo »

Another good Sunday gathering at the Dome Victoria Park. Spotted Dinga who has returned from travels and our nonagenarian member. Eleven riders, including the electrical duo Pete 2 volts and Nick 3 Amps, Danny, Mick S, David P, R90S Mark, Ralph, Wightman, Young Mr Grice, Peter Bee and Bozo headed out past the airport to Toodyay Road to take the Haddrill/Weir Road ascent of the scarp before descending on Campersic Road. The whole of the Swan Plain was thick with smoke leading to urgent checks to see if the Chittering or Bindoon bushfires had flared up. Our visibility was mostly ok as we passed through Bullsbrook to take Bonavita/Jenkins/Polinelli Roads to get to Powderbark Road. A quick run along Blue Plains Road was followed by a run to Bindoon. A lot of debris on the sides of the road and many whole trees blown over in the paddocks. Fortunately, the Bindoon Bakehaus was almost fully functioning (apart from EFTPOS). An enjoyable break before heading home through the Chittering Valley.

Great riding conditions other than a bit of smoke haze. Thanks to Peter Bee for running as Tail End Charlie.

Thanks Bozo for another varied elevation ride. Well behaved riders make the job of TEC so easy.
