14 riders were keen to take advantage of the cool weather to head south. A new participant James joined Mike S, Medic Mike, Astro Rob, Wightman, R90S Mark, David P, Ted, Rainer, Raider, Graeme, Ralph, Peter Bee and Bozo to wind our way through the Scarp to Churchmans Brook. We got to Byford via a Cann Road loop before the run through Jarrahdale. Again there were masses of bikes at the Jarrahdale Post Office Cafe. The threatened roadworks on Kingsbury Drive had little impact as the bitumen was intact.
There was a brief stop at the servo on Del Park Road. Picture courtesy Wightman.

The run through Pinjarra was uneventful but a lost side cover on one of the bikes was noticed by Rainer and was located by the tail end Charlie group. A mix up meant that the tail of the group went the scenic way but eventually rejoined the rest at an absolutely packed bakery at Waroona. The pie ovens looked like Coles toilet paper section during the panic buying during COVID.

A very pleasant run through Nanag Brook Road and Nanga Road had us back in Dwellingup for the return trip to Perth. The ride ended at Hopelands.
Great to have Ted out on his first Sunday ride in his ninetieth year and James on his first ride. Thanks to Peter Bee for running as tail end Charlie, being part of a panel recovery party and getting the back of the group to the Bakery.
