At Ascot Gloria Jeans three riders turn up for a ride despite the extreme hot weather forecast
It was the usual run up via Helena Valley, to meet up with two more at Mojos.

After the usual banter at Mojos the three carried on with a ride out via Parkerville, this time finding the exit from McDowell Loop in to Hidden Valley. Other than a few birds a half-grown Kangaroo was the only wildlife venturing out in the heat. It presented no problems, not crossing our path but only returning back into the bush. Carrying on through Strawberry Hill, Lakeview. When heading south down Alison St the solid shade dropped the temperature down by a degree or two. Then it was the usual rat run to Chidlow, looping on Ash & Doconing Rds to get back to Government Rd and into Wooroloo. Again, looping south along Linley Valley Rd before heading north along Harper and Rahnie Rd and on to Toodyay Rd via Bailup Rd. After that it was the enjoyable loop through Salt Valley, Sandplain and into Toodyay via Folewood Rds. Just before entering Toodyay the temperature peaked for a short period to 44degs.

Other than our BMs Toodyay appeared empty of motorcycles. Lunch was in the A/C comfort of the Toodyay Bakery before heading home directly via Toodyay Road. The ride home before dropping off the scarp was mostly just above 40 degrees, peaking to 44. The hottest points were on Toodyay Rd just after the hills and crossing over GNHwy on Row Hwy where it peaked to 46 Degrees, and not waiting at the traffic lights to turn onto the bypass road, which for me is usually the hottest spot. Surprisingly the ride was not unpleasant considering the actual temperature. The only really hot spot was an occasional blast of hot air on my chin when the visor up.

Brian

It could have been the heat/5 ride. Great you got out and home without any drama.
