Spring has Sprung Ride September 1

Post by pspencer »

Great turn up in Vic Park with 10 riders ready for the first Spring ride on Father’s Day. The Bakers Hill Pie Shop was the chosen destination to miss the expected heavily crowded cafes.
Standard run to Mundaring Weir, with lots of treadlies as moving targets and a partially concealed speed radar Ute. Passed through Mundaring, The Lakes and our Favourite Talbots. Some riders had not seen Poodle Rock so we glided past through the yellow Canola Paddocks. York was busy with a Car Show so we took the back roads to miss the blocked off main drag and headed towards Spencer’s Brook onto the GEH. Seemed above normal traffic on the GEH as we pulled into the Bakers Hill Pie Shop.
We arrived around 11:40am so not too many people and quick service. Sat outside and enjoyed the munchies and MMM recalling his underground drill operator stint. Weather fine with only one or two drops and 16 to 19 degrees - sublime.
Thanks to all for super company and special thanks to Ralph for TEC duties with his brightly lit Triple Black.

A marvellous spring Sunday ride with an enthusiastic bunch of riders. Thanks Mr. B. and Mr Ralph for ride duties. Bakers Hill goodies were good.
