A laid back group lounged in the early morning sunshine at Diverso in Vic Park. A lot of interest was taken in Rod Rocket Peter's new toy, a BMW R1300 GS. Conveniently, a1250 BMW 1250 GS HP was parked next to it for comparison.

15 riders were involved with the Sunday ride with Nurzo Steve and Chriso taking the scarp gravel roads and Astro Rob, Andrew, Rod Rocket Peter, David P, Ticker Ted, AAA Anthony, MM Mark, Franz, Goldie, Cameron, Ralph, Navigator Nick and Bozo taking the bitumen to get to Dwellingup.

A very slow run was experienced on Kingsbury Drive due to non existent smoke from a fire that was just being lit. However we were ok to travel at 90 kph through the smoke up Del Park Road. A short diversion was made by turning onto the conveyer belt road to link to North Spur.

Very pleasant sitting at the Blue Wren with New Holland honeyeaters oblivious to our presence. A spirited run through the Nangas, Coronation Road, Coolup Burnside Road and Pinjarra before a run "up the guts". The ride ended at Hopelands. Thanks to Navigator Nick for tail end Charlie on the way down and Ralph doing the same on the way back.

A stunning day for a ride despite bees, cyclists, controlled burns and double demerit points.

"They dont look like they'll ever see the dirt..."

But they can have just as much fun and camaraderie on bitumen!
