Bitzer Ride

Post by Bozo »

Another vibrant group at Diverso to see Rod Rocket Peter arrive on the rolling thunder KTM Super Duke that he had owned for less than a day and Guy turn up on an immaculate BMW airhead, a Mike Firth special, "Green Hornet".

Dave S was trying to legally mount lights without breaking the law. Nev brought his BMW R69s in contrast to the monster that he usually rides.
Nine riders headed out on a looping zig zagging ride to Gidgegannup.

Eric, David L S, Rod Rocket Peter, JC, Nev, Steve, Vic, Peter Bee and Bozo passed the site of the BMW WA MCC's 1970's street racing/hill climb site in Patterson Road (event won by Goldie in 19 seconds) before doing the Brian/5 deviations onto Aldersyde Road and Fern Road. The Super Duke seemed to cause an airpulse that reverberated in nearby rider's stomachs. After a break at Mundaring Weir we took the Pretty Lane shortcut to Eagle Road and ended up doing the Reen Road Reserve Road loop. A medical incident at the Gidgegannup Bakery was being sorted out and an ambulance arrived. The group dispersed at Gidgegannup.

A pleasant ride through some less familiar roads. Thanks to Peter Bee for running as tail end Charlie.

Great ride, thanks for the summary Bozo. Mine was the only non-boxer bmw, the ktm sure did sound great. Managed to get the very last jam donut at the Gidgegannup bakery, the good lady wife was well pleased.
