Despite the forecast for a hot day, we still had a group of six riders from Ascot to ascended the scarp via Swan View, Greenmount then on through Hovea, Parkerville, Stoneville and on to Mojo’s.

We were joined by DFS & HRG. DFS gave an account of his travel woes trying to ride Napal & Tibet. This included flight delays, lost luggage, roads blocked by landslides and cancelled visas for Tibet. He still said it was a great experience worth the experience. Still not daunted he plans to try again for the complete ride into Tibet.

The consensus from B5, HRG Ralph, Dave, Lou and Graham was for a shorter ride keeping to the hills to Jarrahdale. After a deviation into Paulls Vallet we had a brief stop in Lesmurdie at the RSR Radar site for an information briefing on the various aids for air traffic controllers and pilots.

It was then down Lawnbrook Rd through Reservoir and Pickering Brook. There was a large assortment of motorcycles at the Bean2Brook café. The Canning Dam, Turtle Brook picnic area is still closed until further notice. No reason given on the Water Corp web site. The ride out felt pleasantly cool being a comfortable 25 degrees.

Arriving at the Jarrahdale, Local Po Kitchen for an early lunch. The menu had a wide range of food. All enjoyed their lunch with the comments that we must visit again.

A good ride with Ralph keeping the group together as TEC.
