Sizzling Summer Short Sunday Scarp Sojourn

A surprisingly solid turn out of 30 bikes at Diverso. Andrew gave Brunhilde, the Hans Muth Paris Dakar BMW, a run to exercise her throaty roar. With high temperatures forecast north south and east the Sunday ride involved lots of loops on shaded rides to have an early metropolitan meal break.

A dozen riders including Rob, David P, JC, Shiner Wright, Young Mr Grice, Steve N, Wightman, R90S Mark, Peter Bee, Bozo zig zagged past Churchman Brook Dam twice to end up at Gosnells where a DDD was made to go to Dome Kelmscott.

The temperatures were ok whilst we were in the hills but lifted five degrees Celcius when we got onto the plains. A light hearted chat and all made their own way home. A reasonable run only marred by the 37 degree run home. Thanks to the group for excellent corner marking and to Peter Bee for running as Tail End Charlie. Picture at Gosnells courtesy of Wightman.
