40 in the Shade

A big group of 40 persons and 33 bikes enjoyed the shaded surroundings of Diverso for a final time, on Sunday morning, with the business closing.
Back to Catalanos next Sunday.
Eight riders defied the forecast heat to weave their way to Bakers Hill via Chidlow, Liberton Road, Linley Valley Road and Coates Road. A brief stop at Mundaring Weir for the mandatory history lesson before heading north.
The back roads of Mount Helena briefly baffled the ride leader before order was restored. Ted, R90S Mark, 2Volts Pete, the young Mr Grice, Rob, Steve N, Peter Bee and Bozo made it to the bakery just in time before it was swamped by a large group of motorcyclists. We watched on as police vehicles with light sand sirens headed one way whilst motorcyclists popping wheelies headed the other.
A simple run home down Chitty, Salt Valley, Fernie and Bailup Roads got us to the end of the ride at Mount Helena.
Thanks to great corner marking by the group and excellent tail end skills by Peter Bee we had an enjoyable and incident free ride
