I would like to do the Border Run this year but cant really afford to be away for 4 days, so I am thinking about riding out with the main group to the breakaways on Thursday and then coming back to Perth Friday. I enjoy the run out to Hyden and that section of the Hyden Norseman Road but skip the 90 mile straight and that long last leg to the border. An alternative would be to loop round on the Friday and come back via Coolgardie. If anyone is interested in joining me for the Short Border Run let me know?
