Nullarbor Muster 2025

G’day Slackers,

Myself and a small group are headed for the Nullarbor Muster, an Outback Rodeo held annually at Rawlinna on the Trans Australian Railway line. I’m not really big on Rodeos but this one has some importance and I do have an alternative motive for attending. Rawlinna, like most of the Railway Stations and Siding on the Trans Con has been long since abandoned but once a year the place comes alive for the Rodeo. Pastoralist and Land Owners come from miles around to attend the Event. It is also the only weekend of the year when unleaded fuel is available.

Hence the reason I’m attending.

My plan is to attend the Muster and refuel but at the same time, fill a 10 litre Jerry and cache it in the bush somewhere along the Trans Con. The reason for that is when I attend Desert Raid later this year, it will give me more options to travel on different roads and tracks where fuel supply will be the biggest hurdle to overcome.

We depart on Wednesday morning (23rd) and should be away for about 8 days.

See you on the other side.

Hello Slackers,

Join this intrepid group of 4 riders as they tackle the vast Western Australian Outback. Their Mission? To attend the annual Nullarbor Muster (Yee Haw) but at the same time, Cache some additional fuel in the Outback to ensure fuel supplies later in the year when attending a Motorcycle Rally way off the Grid.

Hi Folks,

In this Episode, the group heads east along the Transcontinental Railway Access Road and after caching the fuel jerrycans, they then continue to Rawlinna and the Nullarbor Muster. They bump into the Indian Pacific making its 65-hour journey from Sydney to Perth, a distance of over 4,351 km.

Grab ya gear; Let's go!

Hello Slackers,

In this Episode, the Crew sit back and relax while enjoying the Muster and all that it has to offer. Once thats completed, they start the long journey home with the anticipation of using roads and tracks none of them have done before. Have they bitten off more than they can chew?

Grab ya gear; Lets go!

Finalé

G'day Slackers,

In this Episode, the Three Stooges re evaluate and decide on another strategy to get themselves back to civilisation safely. They link up with Chris at Norseman before continuing to head West toward home. That means only one more night in the bush before having to return to the routine of humble suburban life. This Adventure is over!

Grab ya gear; Lets go!

See you on the other side.

The Nullarbor Muster was the first rodeo for this grasshopper.

As one of the four Slackers on the ride it has left me with very special memories of my time with the lads. I put together a short video. It is short as the majority of my GoPro videos were taken of the road just 20m or so in front of me. So, I’ve learned a few lessons for the next ones. I hope you enjoy it.
