7 at GJ’s, 11 at Mojos and 8 starting the ride with 6 continuing to Yerecoin. B/5 offered to lead the ride so 7 of us followed him through Stoneville, Parkerville, Gidgegannup, and Brigadoon. Down from the scarp to GNH with a minor diversion into Upper Swan prior to reaching Pearce and taking the much favoured Chittering Rd for a very pleasant run to Bindoon and a toilet break.
Numbers dropped to the solid 6 as we headed towards Mogumber along the Moora Rd, taking the Gillingarra to New Norcia Rd. Riding through New Norcia reminded me that it is fantastic to see the graceful old buildings being maintained so well, pity the Pub is closed. A short run north along the GNH and a turn onto the Glentromie - Yerecoin Rd to take us to the Yerecoin Traders.
As usual tasty food, coffees and pleasant staff make it an enjoyable lunch destination. The main topic of conversation was batteries which kept us charged as we munched at the outside table, in a pleasant 25 degrees.
The run back was through Calingiri to Toodyay and straight back via Salt Valley to Perth.
A big thanks to B/5 for leading, at short notice and the team for very pleasant company.
