Re: Thursday May 15 MOJOS MUNDARING
11 at GJ’s, 15 at Mojos and 10 on the ride - must be the very very pleasant weather that’s keeping the numbers high.
B/5 lead the team on one of his many devious routes to get to Mojos, thanks B/5. With the destination finally set as Quariading, 9 riders followed me out of Mundaring down to the Weir and onto Canning Rd to access the Brookton Hwy. With the temperature now around 17 degrees and the sun shining it was a very pleasant run along the Hwy to reach Brookton and a stop to stretch the legs. Multi Media Mark was having some issues with his number plate wanting freedom from the Multistrada, but the ever reliable cable ties soon put an end to that. We then headed easterly towards Corrigin but took a diversion onto the excellent condition Dangin - Meads Rd to head towards Quairading arriving just before midday at the Golden Grain Café and Bakery.
We settled easily into the old world charm of the Café and it’s not so young staff. Large servings of quality food as the usual meaningful banter proceeded with MMMark in fine form.
The return journey was directly to York and the Talbots, with the ride concluding at The Lakes. The temperature had risen to a very pleasant 25 degrees with a couple of degrees higher as we descended the Scarp.
I knocked up 420 klms so a longer ride in perfect weather into the picturesque, but still very dry, Wheatbelt.
Thanks to all for the company with special thanks to B/5 for getting us to Mojos and Ralph for solid TEC duty.
