Mandarin Twist

On a welcome dry day there was a substantial turnout at Catalano's with distractions such as David S packing his R18 for camping, Richard's flying visit in a BMW Izetta, Ray marketing a BMW GS, Andrew talking about rocket fuel and Mercaptans and Lefty attempting to sort out his GPS.
David P, David S, Tom, Rob, Shiner Wright, His Royal Griceness, Rainer, Clayton, R90S Mark and Bozo tumbled into the long weekend traffic to zigzag to Gingin via Brigadoon, Old Yanchep Road and Military Road.
The back roads were quiet as we enjoyed the scenic views from Campersic Road, Boulonnaise Drive and Rollinghills Drive.
After resolving a tyre pressure issue at Gingers we ventured into the fruity part of Upper Swan twisting through Mandarin Road, Clementine Road, Guava Rise, Starapple Chase and Lemon Street before a scraping through a concrete obstacle course at Apple Road to return to Railway Road. Fortunately, no panniers were injured in this navigation debacle caused by a closed road.
A run along the reduced speed Railway Road and Neaves Road to reach Old Yanchep Road. Major long weekend traffic was encountered on Indian Ocean Drive before a freer run up Military Road to end up at the CU Cafe at Gingin.

Very pleasant sitting with a deep green park background. As we were preparing to leave, BMW MCC members Kim and Max arrived. An energetic run on Moolabeenie Road and Crest Hill Road was followed by a camper trailer slowed run through the Chittering Valley. The emus, normally sighted at Keating Road were much closer to Bullsbrook. The ride ended at Bullsbrook.
Thanks to R90S Mark for keeping the group intact even through the Upper Swan Mandarin Twist.
Glorious day to be out with the country greening up. On the run home, five motorcycle policemen were spotted heading to the north.
