A little precipitation will not deter the magnificent spirit of the participants. Leaving Gloria Jeans Ascot at 7:30am to meander up to Mojos Mundaring for a 9:15am ish departure. DDD of course.

The A team, consisting of MMM, David P, David Young, Astro, Ralph Lou, Tom and Mick S are away for a 2 day Southern sojourn. Pemberton is the overnight destination. Fine weather, almost.

We took the chance and only suffered minor precipitation. From GJ’s B/5 led Lefty and I out through Bellevue and Boya in foggy conditions to pass numerous Kangaroos down near the Helena River and head to Mojos. Another 3 members arrived with finally 4 saddling up to ride to Wongan Hills, capably led by 2 Volts Pete. He had selected a direct route passing through Stoneville, Gidgegannup, Lover’s Lane, River and Julimar to take us to the Bindi Bindi to Toodyay Rd via West Coondle.
We reached Calingiri with only minor drops of rain and headed north to Wongan Hills on the less travelled direct route past Lake Ninan. Heavy clouds threatening but Pete did a great job to navigate past the showers.
A pleasant lunch in Wongan at the Café of Note. Usual banter.
We returned heading towards Toodyay with a fuel stop at Goomalling and a straight run down Toodyay Rd to Perth.
Knocked up 380 klms with only minor showers on the way home. A great Thursday Ride.
Thanks to Pete for suggesting Wongan Hills and leading plus B/5 for the early lead to Mojos and to all for exemplary riding.

I concur, a nice ride through varying conditions.
Thanks Peter, and Peter Bee for keeping the group together.
