Taking on Triskaidekaphobia

The day at Catalano's was brightened up when Yuri brought his shiny blue BMW K bike to breakfast. A very impressive paint job.

Triskaidekaphobia was the topic on July 13 when 13 riders headed out for a circuit around the Swan River Estuary. Tom, Wightman, His Royal Griceness, Goldie, Rod Rocket Peter, Rob, R90S Mark, Mick S, Multi Media Mark, David S, Nev and Bozo had a slightly delayed start when the electrics played up on one of the bikes.
Bouncing through the cobbles at Elizabeth Quay was followed by roadworks on Mounts Bay Road before the group got strung out on Jutland Parade. A regather just past Michael Edgeley's old house (now for sale) and the group sailed on to deviate through The Cliff and past Butler's Hump to the Bay View Park Lookout in Mosman Park. A discussion about tunnels and aged people homes was followed by a run past the Hancock mansion and through the site of the old CSR sugar mill. Arriving at Monument Hill in Fremantle the discussion shifted to submarines and container ships.
A slow run past Leeuwin Barracks was followed by Point Walter and Bourke Drive before heading round the river to Heathcote. A short section of the Highway to Hell got us to Como Beach to head to the Vic Park Hotel.
Thanks to Nev for running as tail end Charlie and the corner marking by the group we got to the AGM venue in good time to see all of the first four raffle prizes go to people in the front row. Despite 13 being unlucky for some it was a pleasant ride supporting the principle of taking on triskaidekaphobia.
