The promise of some fine weather boosted rider numbers with 11 at GJ’s, 14 at Mojos and a tight 11 starting the ride with 10 staying for lunch.
A wee chilly on the traverse to Mojos with a low of 2.5 degrees but slowly, very slowly the temperature during the day ascended to an acceptable 19 degrees. The expected fog was limited to very minor areas.
I had thought the Pinjarra Bakery in Waroona would make a fine lunch time destination and as per usual there were no objections or better selections.
Down to the Mundaring Weir, through Pickering Brook, Canning Mills, Karragullen, Araluen, Canning Dam, Albany Hwy, Jarrahdale Rd, Jarrahdale, Serpentine Dam, Carnet, SWHwy, North Dandalup, Dwellingup, the Nangas and gliding into the Pinjarra Bakery in Waroona at approx 11:30am.
Great food, drinks and convivial chatter with the sky starting to solidly cloud over.
Left with some taking the direct route up the SWHwy, with very light rain, whilst others followed me onto Coronation Rd and the interesting route up the middle. Some diversion of the group here but no big worry as we were all headed home with routes selected. The very light rain deceased after about 10 minutes for a dry trip home.
Thanks to all for an entertaining day with special thanks to Ralph for superb TEC duties.
