After the Storm

Post by Bozo »

A healthy turnout at Catalano's after two dismal weekends impacted by severe weather. Participants in the Border Run were telling war stories of slippery roads, rapid temperature variations and precipitation.

Brian/5, Phil, Ralph, R90S Mark and Bozo took advantage of the relatively clear skies to head to Pinjarra Bakery via Churchman's Brook Dam and Jarrahdale. We zagged at the right time to avoid a band of showers only getting a few drops as we neared Serpentine Dam. The Karnet emu flock were spotted just past the prison farm. The full sun and relatively dry roads were very enjoyable as we took the Corio Road twisties.

A break at Pinjarra was followed by a run up North Spur and a link on the Conveyor Road to drop back down to Del Park Road. A scoot along Readheads Road to Hopelands Road got us to Hopelands where the ride ended.

Swampy, thanks for the heads up about the speed bumps on Bedfordale Hill, they are designed to make their presence felt.

R90S Mark carried the tail end Charlie duties with aplomb. Great day to be out and to resume the pattern of Sunday rides.
