I knew it would rain but I needed a motorcycle ride. Six at Dome and about a dozen at Cats so the rain did not deter everybody. It did rain on route from Dome to Cats but did not on our route to the Toodyay Bakery. R90s Mark and Whiteman joined me for the short ride.
Orrong Rd led us to the airport, Roe Highway and Toodyay Rd with a run along Campersic to take us up the Scarp and onto O’Brien/Clenton/Berry to return to Toodyay Rd and Fernie, Salt Valley looping around to return to Toodyay Rd where JW left us. Mark and I continued onto Sandplain and Folewood to glide down into Toodyay early to an unexpected packed Bakery.
With the rain starting the usual verandah seating area was decidedly damp forcing us to move inside to more pleasant but busy seating. Great food and a good chat was soon over as I thought I saw a break in the rain. But as soon as we started suiting up down it came and continued off but mostly on all the way home.
Thanks John and Mark for joining me and Mark did a fine job as TEC.
