Perth Spring weather - Purrrrfect. Leaving Ascot Gloria Jeans 7:30am traversing to Mojos Mundaring for a 9:15am ish departure to potentially Corrigin or Narrogin. But of course the attendees will have a plethora of destinations with the added bonus of leading us there. Yeh possibly ??? DDD of course applies.

An interesting ride lead by PBee from Mojo’s. About a dozen riders rode out via The Lakes, Talbot, Dale, Pingelly, Bullaring, up to Kunjin and on to Corrigin. Most stopped for fuel as this leg was 250kms although mostly with a tail wind.
The Mallee Tree café is another great venue with great atmosphere and a good selection on the menu. Recommended for more visits.
After lunch the group split with some opting for the direct route home via Brookton. The majority going north up to Quairading, York, the Lakes then home. The northern leg up to Quairading was a sample of what you could expect crossing the Nullarbor with straight sections and very strong cross winds. A stop in York for a break and time to clean the bugs off the visors. After York the winds had died down, with smoke from the burn offs hanging around.
My round trip distance was 504kms, my first leg consumption was 4.8l/100km with the homeward leg increasing to 5.4, effectively dropping the R9Ts range by 40kms.
Corner marking used where required, potential hazards encounter were several dogs on the side of the road around Dale, low flying birds and plenty of insect splattering the visors.
Thanks PBee and all.

Thanks B/5 for the detailed ride report, TEC duties to Corrigin and lead duties from Corrigin to Quairading and home.
Yes the Corrigin Mallee Tree Café was approved by all and will be on our future visit list. Perfect weather for riding and an easy team to spend the day. Yes managed to get 500km out of the RT’s tank, with fuel gauge showing 10 km left but only took 23.5 L for the 25L tank so as expected there is some fuel even when the gauge would show 0. But fuel anxiety is not pleasant so I’ll not be going below the indicated 0.
