After extensive banter and typical Thursday pre-ride discussion, 11 riders left Mojo's headed for Dowerin via Beverley.
Leader today was Pete 2volts and TEC was Peter B. In between was Lefty, Robbie, Dave Y, Ralph, Chris Grice, Tom, JP, Brian/5 and Bill.
The group headed out through Mt Helena, Chidlow to Doconing Road, then right onto Government Road to Woorooloo, left onto Bailup Road, right onto Burma Road into Wundowie then along Coates Road and briefly Great Eastern Hwy onto Inkpen Road, crossing Great Southern Hwy and onto Talbot West Road. Then left onto Talbot Road, then right onto Qualen West Road, then eventually back onto Talbot West Road and on into Beverley for a break.
Lefty and Bill left the group and 9 riders continued via veverley Top Road past York, east along Goldfields Road, north on Mannavale Road to Quellington and into Meckering for some fuel. Then the Meckering - Dowerin Road into Dowerin and the Dingoes Diner for lunch. About 265km to this point.
After lunch was done, it was a direct ride back through Goomalling and Toodyay, by which stage riders were starting to peel off and take their own routes home.
Harvest is in full swing with plenty of grain trucks on the roads and many headers and chaser bins in the paddocks.
I forgot to mention anything about corner marking before we left, as we got moving I decided to claim if questioned later that it was a deliberate experiment to see what happened, to everyones credit people corner marked whenever they saw fit to do so.
A great day for riding.
pete.

Great to get out on the bike again now that work is slowing a bit. Thanks Pete for leading. JP
