Re: Thursday December 18, Mojos Mundaring
A big group from our club and plenty of other patrons at Mojos kept the staff very busy.
After drinks and food were finally done, we had a later start than usual, with about 15 departing on the ride at 9.30am.
Down Stoneville Rd, right at Anketell Rd, then left onto Bunning Rd to Gidgegannup. Right onto Toodyay Rd, then Lilydale Rd, Breeze Rd, Mayo Rd, Dinsdale Rd and back onto Mayo Rd into Woorooloo.
Bailup Rd (I always forget how rough this section is) to Toodyay Rd, then onto Fernie Road/Salt Valley Rd, Hoddy Well Rd, Clackline - Toodyay Rd, left onto Toodyay Rd again to Lovers Lane, then along Rover Rd, up the hill on Folewood Rd and then down into Toodyay for a break at Duidgee Park, near the river.
Leaving Toodyay along Toodyay West Rd it became apparent that the Road Closed Local Traffic Only signs did mean what they said. A quick u-turn, then left onto the Toodyay - Bindi Bindi Rd, then Dewars Pool Rd across to Great Northern Hwy. Up the highway to Hay Flat Road, then west across to the Bindoon - Moora Rd, and south toward Bindoon. Right onto Wells Glover Rd and right again for the final stretch along Mooliabeene Rd to Gingin and lunch at the CU@Park Cafe.
After lunch, the group split to make their own way home.
I went west on Gingin Brook Rd, south west on Military Rd to Indian Ocean Drive, Old Yanchep Rd, Neave Rd, Great Northern Hwy, Wandena Rd, Muchea East Rd, Chittering Rd, Julimar Rd, Clackline - Toodyay Rd again, Great Eastern Hwy and finally home to Sawyers Valley about 4pm with 444.48km done for the day according to my GPS.
Riding conditions were very pleasant, though a little gusty at times.
Thanks to Ralph for being TEC and everyone who came along.
See you in 2026,
pete.
