19 riders including Ted and his son Robert, Wightman, Raider, Rainer, Shiner Wright, Craig, His Royal Griceness, Rod Rocket Peter, Andrew, James, Mick S, Goldie, David P, R90S Mark, Astro Rob, Ric T, Peter Bee and Bozo took a last run on the soon to be closed Grogan Road to get to Campersic Road and Haddrill Road. A very dangerous situation occurred as we were on Boulonnais Drive with Border Collie darting in front of successive motorcycles. A loop on Rolling Hills Road to see the skyline of Perth was followed by a stop at Ginger's.
The run up the scarp was on the newly linked Lage Road/Yarrimbah Drive to emerge at Bonita Road before taking Polinelli Road to Muchea East. There was a surprise on Powderbark Road with a parked Police Van that ignored the group. A jink back to Maddern Road West and a loop around Wisteria Drive eventually got us to Blue Plains Road and Chittering Road. A deviation onto Teatree Road and a loop on Forest Hills Parade gave us another high level scenic outlook. 18 made it to the Bindoon Bakehaus before most headed for a loop up Crest Hill Road to link with the Bindoon Moora Road via Moolabenie Road.
Back onto Chittering Road we picked up Morley Road before a descent on Yarrimbah Drive to see the skyline of Perth.
An excellent day out with mostly safe and comfortable riding with excellent corner marking as we wove our way through backroads and byways.
Brilliant work by Peter Bee as tail end Charlie as usual. A bonus was picking up the sea breeze as we returned to metropolitan Perth.
