Looping the Inlet

An interesting turnout at Catalano's with John Tuckwell bring his sweet sounding refurbished Krauser. Nine riders, Mick S, R90S Mark, Multi Media Mark, Clayton, Muddy Peter, Brett, Ian, Peter Bee and Bozo cruised past the Lesmurdie BP for the first time in a month with one rider threatening to pass the ride leader due to the sedate pace up the hill. A stop at Churchman Brook Dam had us join a left over group of revellers from Australia Day. A deviation from Byford onto Cardup Road got us to Mundijong to see the progress on the Tonkin Highway Extension. Eventually we reached Kulija Road but traffic impaired the enjoyment of the sweeping bends. A testing run through more traffic got us to the newly opened Estuary Bridge duplication and Miami Bakehouse.

The groups resisted the upselling attempts of the bakery staff before a run around the Peel Inlet and home via Ravenswood and Hopelands where it became very hot.
A relatively cool location for lunch but a bit of traffic down and a lot of heat back.
A few grumbles in the group but generally a great day out thanks to Peter Bee as tail end Charlie and sensible corner marking.
