A representative of Voyager Estate in Margaret River has invited members of the BMWMCCWA to participate in the Vintage Stomp 2011 Festival to be held on Sunday the 15th of May 2011 from 11am-4pm. This year Voyager are planning a German theme and are seeking to host a small German car & motorcycle display as part of the festivities. They are offering a 2 bottle gift pack of their fine wine and free entry to the festival for each member participating (partners get free entry as well). For those of you who have not visited Voyager Estate it really is a magnificent property, one of the Jewels of the Margaret River wine region. The rose gardens and grounds surrounding the magnificent Cape Dutch style winery building are exquisite.

If you would like to represent your club, be part of this event and can make a firm commitment to be there please indicate your interest on this thread and I will get back to you with further details in due course.

I have sent them a picture of my R50 and they say that they would be delighted to have it on display. They need some more classics.

Bump - come on folks don't repeat the usual last minute rush, put your names down so the good folks at Voyager can plan their festival accordingly.

Okay Jono count me in for sure. I suspect my 1200GS wont really fit into the 'classic class' but at least it makes up the numbers.

I will contact Lefty and see if one of the blokes who came down to Peacefuk Bay - has a nice classic 1000 - would be interested. His name is Guy (in the event you know him).

Hello Jon,

put me down as a 90%, my bike is a true 2010 classic, now with gravel road cred as well.

I assume we would go down Saturday, camp overnight (so I have time to clean my classic) and return Sunday.

All BMW's welcome they don't have to be vintage.
Toni & Ken you can take the DR's and come along for the event, however you will need to pay your way to get into the festival  (at least Ben has a BMW badge on his Katoom! )

Nev is certainly interested.

R1200GSA 2008, now there's a classic if ever you saw one.

If I'm rejected, then I'm also happy to go for a dirt ride down to the coast to Bob's Hollow. Quite a rough 4wd track to the coast off Caves Road. Don't remember any deep sand. Great fishing spot to boot.

I was thinking of organising a ride down to MR keaving on Saturday 14 May, meeting at Pinjarra 10 am (to allow for Perthies to swallow a Catalanos breakfast) then cruising back roads (mostly bitumin) via Burnside, Harvey, Brunswick Junction, Wellington Forest, Donnybrook, back plots of Capel, Busselton, Vasse. We could have a lunch in Donnybrook, arriving MR in mid afternoon.

On the Sunday we can take a sprint down Caves Road, surf at Yallingup or whatever, in time to get to the Voyager Estate gates by 10.30. They are just a few kms south of Margaret River. Judging from the response so far, I guess I should revise our estimate upwards to about 20. Please confirm (if you haven't already) or let us know if you can't make it. Sara wants to organise the wine and wrist bands for all German bike entrants.

We will be able to leave at 3pm, meaning that we have plenty time to get back to the big smoke, by nightfall.
