Hi Everyone, and a very Happy New Year to you all.
A little birdie told me that it's a tradition for the club to have a run/trip over the Australian Day Holiday weekend and this year the 26 th falls on a Thursday, so we had better get our leave applications in early so we can have the Friday off, thus enjoying a long weekend trip to somewhere, ....... say Peaceful Bay ?
Just thought I'd get the ball rolling, as we may need to book spots at the camping ground.....
Whatdya think Lefty?

We have 4 sites (enough for at least 8-10 people) reserved in the 'Biker's Pit' at Peaceful Bay, approx half-way between
Walpole and Denmark on the South Coast
Please let me know at Sunday Breakfast or Monday's Meeting if you intend going.
If you talk to your bosses (Commercial and domestic) they may let you take the Friday off, as well as Thursday 26th.
If you have been before, you will know what a great spot it is, with plenty of points of interest relatively close by.
If you haven't been before, come and check it out.
Cheers
Lefty

Any GS'ers will be able to practice their beach/sand riding techniques
Already told the Boss I wont be in that Friday.......

Toss the hip flask (or its contents) buddy and bring some lighter fluid instead. I might bring the K75 along for old times sake...........J

Looks like we might have a few/several going.
At this stage I am planning to leave Catalano's at 8:30 - 8:45 am on Thursday 26th
Travelling Welshpool Rd, Tonkin Highway to Armadale, then Albany H/Way to Arthur River, (Only 91 0ctane last time we were there)
and across to Boyup, etc.,Manjimup, Walpole.
The Caravan Park has some supplies, ice, fish and chips, and even pizza (I think)
Alcoholic beverages need to be purchased from Walpole or Bow Bridge on the way in.
Bitumen all the way, except for the solid dirt/gravel road through the park (aprox 500m?)
Bring bathers and a happy outlook
Cheers

We want to make Pinjarra by 8 (move directly from Rockingham). We'll wait by the railway station, then move off. Probably meet the main bunch between Donnybrook and Manjimup (9-10). Should aim to reach Denmark/Walpole before noon. The maximum down there is only 31 degrees. Only losers will stay up here in the 40+!.
