12 noon onwards Swampy,

we have to check the balance module on Davey's bike, I think it's out of kilter may explain the amount of laydowns. was ok with the previous owner.

Bully

Davey has removed 50 grams of lettering on the right hand side and added 2000 grams of cabling and fuses to the left hand side. Overturning moments are created by any out of balance forces ...see http://www.ehow.com/how_5173314_calcula ... oment.html
The overturning moment of an object is the moment of energy capable of upsetting the object; that is, the point where it has been subjected to enough disturbance that it ceases to be stable, it overturns, capsizes, collapses, topples or otherwise incurs an unwanted change in its circumstances, possibly resulting in damage and certainly resulting in inconvenience.

Davey just has an excess of overturning moments from subjecting his GS to disturbance through farkling.

A spot of defarkling may get the balance module to reboot in safe mode.

Mmmmm, let me see, - could be the autopilot lateral trim actuator must have lost it's calibation datum from the azimuth......................then again, it could be the yaw main stabilizer not attenuating the servo via the vacuum manifold pressure depression sensor? or the collective pich could be sticky on the swash plate?

What ya think Bowe?

(It's probably me just losing balance and falling off  ) ..gravity sucks..

Davey

You are on to something with the Outer Swash Plate.

I would check your anti rotation slider at the tuning day as well as the balance module.

An anti-rotation link prevents the inner swash from rotating independently of the blades, which would apply torque to the actuators. The outer swash typically has an anti-rotation slider as well to prevent it from rotating. Both swash plates tilt up and down as one unit.

Some interesting theories but maybe it's because Davey rides side saddle OR his left testicle is bigger than his right one??????

However I think all of the above warrants more investigation lads?

Should be an intertesting Tuning Day

For those that haven't been to a tuning day before, the address is 29 Mistletoe drive, Huntingdale.

The BBQ will be lit for a sausage sizzle and cold drinks are available at normal club prices.

I've confirmed with Vince that he's coming.

See you from about 12 onwards.

I'll be there, to hopefully sort out an issue I have with the ignition switch on the GS. Maybe Vince can hook up the gs911 and give me a clue about what is going on (or not).
Gav.

he'll have his 911 and the clubs, he's going to show us how to use the 911 on multiple bikes, Vince also has an add-on for the 911 to use on the older bikes.

Dawn better get some more snags and drinks, hope to see many older bikes front up ( Jono bring yours) Michael and Petra from Mottorad should be there with Petra's R80

Best we get the 911, ten11 and eleven11 on the bugger tomorrow.....
could be the GPS, but I'm sure it wouldn't pull enough to flatten a new battery... :x :x

anyway, looking forward to hearing your theories tomorrow over a snag and a coldie..

Thanks Bully for the use of your place for another great Tuning Day. I must admit I don't know if I learnt a great deal but was very impressed with the Diagnostic device and thanks to Vince for sharing his time, expertise and knowledge with us.

It was an enjoyable social event also, well attended with a lot of stories and laughter circulating. My mistake was saying where to shove the filter??................................... Thanks Chris but it tastes funny mate??

Thanks again for a good day mate!
