I am planning a ride to Peaceful Bay, to meet up with Albany riders on the March long weekend.
Leave Perth Saturday morning for a cooks tour on the way down, black top all the way, arriving mid afternoon at Peaceful Bay, camp 2 nights and return to metro on Monday.
Should be able to make a day trip on the Sunday if anyone wants to get back on the bike.
Let me know if you are interested, so that we can refine trip detail and ensure bookings are made.
Regards
Cookie

Only 2 weeks to go, Warwick tells me they have sites booked, so we only need to turn up. I plan to take roads less travelled - read long way round, if the weather is reasonable - or shortest route if temps are up.
Open to suggestions for departure time and date, can slip away Friday evening if need be, get clear of town and set up camp before dark, making Saturday an easier (possibly longer) ride through back roads and hilly country.
Regards, Cookie

Hi Marco
It is the Peaceful Bay caravan park, you may need to try and book a bay if you are taking vehicle and large tent, if you send me a pm I can pass details of what you require onto the Albany crew.

Cookie

Hi Cookie
I'm taking two two people tents plus 4WD and bike. no big family tents involved.
just spoke with them and the park will be pretty full for the long weekend but for underpowered sites shouldn't be a problem. the issue maybe to get a spot big enough for everyone stay to together. lets cross that bridge when it comes.

Hello to all
Looks like we have a healthy field of starters (12), lets meet at the carpark on the South East corner of Albany Highway & Great Southern Highway Armadale (entry on left, just past lights as you head south on GT Southern Hwy) at 8am Saturday 3rd.
Route to be decided later in week when weather is known. If you have not yet contacted myself or the Albany club, please do so, to make sure we look out for you, and allocate some room.
The lady at Peaceful Bay has confirmed there are enough unpowered campsites for us.
We will be sticking to sealed roads along our route.
Regards
Cookie

Only 2 more sleeps
We look like having a solid representation in Peaceful Bay coming and going at various times over the weekend.
For those following me, see you at Armadale at 7.45 for a 8am departure, if you would like a copy of our route, send me a pm and Include your email address.
Regards
Cookie

Another fantastic weekend away with around 17 of our crew, plus Albany riders, weather was picture perfect and stories were plentiful.
Thank you to all for making it a great event, much appreciated.
Sorry to hear about Davey's untimely exit from the trip, might be a nomination for the "Maybe I shouldn't have done that" award for 2012.
Regards
Cookie
