My 1992 K75S, bless it, has decided not to start - can someone please help me with a diagnosis?
Symptoms, which were intially sporadic but have been getting worse over the last few months (alhough I only get to ride it about once a week):
* turn ignition switch - warning lights on, but weaker than normal
* turn ignition off and on a few times - warning lights used to eventually come on at full strength. At first this was after 1 or 2 off-ons, now not at all.
* if and when warnng lights at full strength, starts fine and usually runs OK. Occasionally stopped after a minute or two (weak lights), but an on-off or two got it going again with no further trouble.
* when ignition on ( and warning lights not at full strength), press start button, and fuel pump works but starter doesn't crank.
I'd say that the battery is OK, since when it has full strength electricals it fires up like new. My first thought was ignition switch, but could it be starter relay, battery, or something bad in the wiring loom?
Starter relay?
Re: Starter relay?
Oops. On further investigation, battery is dry.
Also discovered this page on cleaning the ignition switch - symptoms somewhat similar. http://ibmwr.org/ktech/clean-ignition-switch.shtml
All advice warmly welcomed.

Re: Starter relay?
On further further investigation, and after battery top-up, battery is fine and holding 13-14 V. Jump start not effective - will first try to clean the contacts on the ignition switch, but will almost certainly have to replace it.
