1972 R75/5 BMW - Positioning of muffler brackets

Post by bmwtc57 »

Hello,

I am resorting a 1972 R75/5 BMW bike. The bike has muffler brackets out of position due to accident, require positioning of these brackets.

Cheers,

Hello, if bike is roadworthy or you have trailer handy, come along to next tuning day (10th January) and seek some advice:)

I have a R75, so maybe could send photos when I return.......You have to get the two allen key bolts in position first, then the clamps go over the second part, which clamps onto the header pipes. There are two different sizes, so you may need a spacer tube between the two, if the muffler minimum ID is more than 1mm bigger than the header OD. I will try to bring my R75 to the tuning day

Thank you for the advice. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the tuning day, cheers for the invite, though.
