Oil coming from rear hub vent

I haven't seen it yet however Toni just called to say that oil is coming out of the rear dif breather on her R80. Doesn't make sense however the RAC has checked and determined that the oil is coming from the gearbox. The boke is in Mt Barker and I'll see the boke tomorrow.

Anyone heard of this of problem before

Do have to say that RAC have done well. Yep, oil coming out the rear diff breather and spilling out on the tyre - not a good look. Decided to let RAC give the bike a ride home from Mt Barker - not a bad effort and they even offered accommodation if I needed it. That insurance has paid for itself a couple of times already between our various cars, bikes, etc....

Snap Toni, my R80 final drive seal did its bundle recently too, Dave converted it to the the more modern style R80 final drive sealing arrangement. These are exciting times we live in, indeed.
