Hi all,
I have a '54 R25/3 with a damaged bell cover on the drive shaft. To replace it one has to take the drive shaft apart, which is apparently a "press fit".
Does anybody have an idea who could do that in Perth? I need someone to take it apart fit the new bell and gasket (supplied) and put it back together.
I am not inclined to send the bloody thing back to Germany for somebody to refurbish.
Thanks for your help.
Manuel

Contact one of the vendors in'Service/Parts/Repairs in Perth' in this section (Technical) of the forum?

Hey Manuel! There are several riders in town, with the exposed pre '55 shaft. I'm sure Vince, of Bassendean motorcyles would be able to help you out (his ad is on the back page of the magazine) The guy opposite him has restored a 51/3 and a 67/2 in the last 10 years, as well. If these gents can't assist, you could take it in to Max, in Vic Park (next to the station where Bank Street is) His number is 9470 3556. Just remember that he works mainly on Pommy bikes but if you have the right parts he will do it. John
