Where do I find the engine no. on the GS?

Koos has given a great hint of "it is on the engine".

If anyone can be a bit more specific that would be great.

Suggestions so far that are not correct include
- just next to the right hand cylinder
- below the oil sight glass.

JP, Try looking on the right hand side of the engine body (facing forward) adjacent to and directly under of the right hand cylinder head??
Hope that makes sense and helps a little?

what about on the orginal papers you got with the bike.
Even on the renewal rego papers.
