1200GS 21" Front Wheel Conversion

Ok, this bloke has inspired me:

I'm going to apply this to my bike, are there other owners who would be interested?

I haven't done any costings yet but will start the ball rolling next month. The economies of scale will make mine cheaper!

This project won't be completed overnight, we'd have to fit it in around our production schedules.

Pretty extreme kind of modification...not sure if the gains (if any) are worth it. Having said that, have a look at entry #142 onwards...might give you some hands on feedback as to the handling improvements. Fiig Rick bought a modified 1150 (?)...not sure if it was all he was expecting it to be.

Gee, wouldn't an F800GS do.
It's OK, keep trying to get the perfect GS. Then you will realise it is a F800GS.

Looked into this when I was going to convert my GSA to a 21/. 19 combo, woodys wheels do off the shelf rims, I went the 1150 with the 21 front on a yz450 steering head, after getting the front springs beefed up the 21 inch does make a big difference, especially in sand, more rake angle also helped
