Exhaust Noise

I am trying to find an after market exhaust for the XChallenge that is light, compact and quiet, I don't really care about an extra horsepower or two.
The standard system is about 7kg and quite bulky, some of the aftermarket systems are about 4kg and compact, this enables the pannier racks mounted to be closer to the subframe.
The standard system is rated at 90db at 3,500 rpm a Staintune is 92db at 3500 rpm.... is 92db still "loud" or quite reasonable, or are all aftermarket exhausts plain loud, apparently the law says 94db (rpm??) is the maximum.
I know that a lot of systems have to be repacked after a while to keep the noise in check, the Staintune does not.
