I want to carry a small 12V tyre pump with me on my ride back from Victoria.
I had one, which was quite bulky, and is now broken.
Any suggestions on what to buy.??
I am not looking for anything fancy, just something to get me out of trouble if needed

I have one of these. It does the job fairly well. Connects to the battery terminals. Doesn't have a pressure gauge thou. Bought mine at Super Cheap Auto Parts for about $40. Hey Lfty what did you buy?

I also have a compressor I bought at Super Cheap ( not a Slime ) that you can borrow Lefty ( take two then if one doesn't work you have a back up

)
Sadly it'll be sitting unused in the shed with the bike at that time.
Cheers Rob

Hi all, read somewhere the difficulty of pumping up the rear tyre on an RT. at the risk of stating the obvious and being too simplistic a hand pump borrowed from my bicycle worked perfectly. From a weight and reliability POV, I think this is the way to go. In sailing, some of us older die hards avoid anything too complex like electric winches if the same can be done manually. Of course this is more critical in sailing where failure of the winch is a matter of life and death. Al the same if it is easy to pump up a tyre, you probably keep your tyre at optimum pressure rather than make do. Will it be case of Life and Death? You decide. Regards, Ed
