2001 K1200RS Fuel Line popped off inside tank

I had been out for a lengthy day ride recently and stopped off at Serpentine Dam restaurant for a cup of tea before heading to friends property in Serpentine. Was there about 30 minutes, put the helmet, jacket and gloves on and went to start the bike. It turned over but wouldn't fire up. After checking the fuel in the tank, fuses, all cut out switches it still wouldn't start.
B.M.W Roadside Assistance came and collected me and the bike in short time ,dropped me off home and the bike was sent to B.M bikes. It turned out to be a fuel line inside the tank had come off, simple.
It's the first time I have broken down after riding B.M.W's for 32 years.
