Tyre type?

For my project 100..they don't have/produce my old favourite MT60 anymore...What I'm looking for is an off/on road dirt tyre, has the look, as I'm no Doohan on the bitumen either, it will be well within my bitumen capabilities anyway...Looks, gives me dirt confidence, reasonable durability, fair price.

Guy, you can't beat Michelin Pilot Activ tyres for those bikes. They last forever and they stick. They are average on dirt. You could put on/off road tyres but they will feel horrible on bitumen. You have enough bikes to have a "dirt bike" a "bachelor bike" and a "chick magnet bike".

ditto...I run Pilot Actives on the Koolest K in Perth. Good on dirt within a road bikes limits.

Thanks there Swamp's, though it seems the Michelin Pilot Active's will get my google preference, I mean if the Koos Koolest K in Perth has them!, I would be a very uncool fool not to go there. Also, thanks John for your great advice, though using a bike as a chick magnet does sound shallow....being "caring & sensitive" is what works for me.

.....Have just had a look at the MPA's very much a road looking tyre, though since both you legends speak highly of them (especially Kool Koo's) I shall have head down that road.

MT 60 looks similar to
Metzeler Sahara
Michelin Sirac.
Conti TKC 70
Heidenau K60
Kenda 761
Kenda Big Block
Kenda 280
Pirelli MT 90
Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2
No idea on performance of any of these.
Not sure of your tyre size so some may not be in your size range.

Wow..a very informative reply, I will certainly look them up....Who's Boomer?... Am going to put the Pilot Actives on the project bike, though the other will be retaining off road tyres, so now have plenty to look at....Cheers.
