Post by goodguy »

Does anyone have an Airhead oil filter cover plate (3x 10 mm bolts) have removed my oil cooler from my project bike, so now require. I'm sure easy to purchase, though there be one lying about somewhere.

Hi Guy. That cover must be just right, as it sits flush up against the shorter oil filter. The /5 and /6 ones had a dummy cover behind it which screwed in. The /7 had one with a protrusion which picked up on the outer rubber seal of the oil filter. Your bike is post /7 so you should investigate..............I believe you should now be using the OX37, shorter filter and not the OX36 filter. You could borrow someone's /7 cover to make sure its a snug fit. My 90S is on the high seas so can't use its cover. Best ask Jack when he's next doing an oil change.

Hiya John..I have changed the internal pipe over which I obtained from Munich's, I think might be wise to obtain a new (correct) cover plate from them also....Thanks..Guy.
