Regarding: ROX 1 3/4" (1.75") PIVOTING HANDLEBAR RISER FOR 1 1/8" HANDLEBARS

Looking at fitting this to my F800GS
Anyone tried them or recommend another model?

Hi Scott, they work fine ( the only issue is if you take the bike into the rough stuff and drop it occasionally the standard handlebar mount which I think is the same as a Xchallenge has rubber mounts in the top triple clamp, this has 2 issues)

1/ Because of the extra height above the triple clamp when you drop the bike the bars have extra leverage when dropped and because of the rubber mounts, the small movement can cause the clamps to slip.
2/ Under the same scenario above. the extra leverage and the give in the mounts can bend and eventually break the studs that secure the mounts to the triple clamp, I have seen this happen and it is not much fun!
I guess if you are retaining the rubber mounts any type of riser will potentially cause this problem.

As I said my experience is with the Xchallenge in pretty rough conditions but I think it is a similar setup to the 800
